What can Mewzo do for my venue?
You get a massive database of local artists you can book directly and securely, plus help with your live-music programming, promotional approach and overall vibe.
What are my obligations?
None! We're not an agency — there are no contracts or ongoing fees. You only pay when you book, with transparent pricing up front.
How do I book a Mewzo artist?
Head to the Book Artist tab, filter by location, and request quotes from multiple artists. You'll get transparent pricing and downloadable invoices, and we can help with custom music planning.
What's in it for Mewzo?
We charge a small booking-fee percentage on each booking. Our aim is to make live music accessible and sustainable for everyone involved.
What happens if someone cancels?
If a venue cancels before the artist confirms, there's no fee. Cancelling 7 or more days before the event means 50% of the artist fee; within 48 hours means 100%. Artists who cancel within 48 hours without valid proof have their profile rating reduced.
Can I book the same artist directly next time?
Not unless you've gotten prior written approval from Mewzo. Future bookings should stay on-platform so everyone stays protected.
What's the commission structure?
Mewzo charges a booking fee that is tiered by booking value, so smaller gigs pay a lower rate, plus a payment processing fee. The exact amounts are shown in the app before you confirm — there are no hidden charges.
Do I need a subscription to use Mewzo?
No — basic access is free. A Premium plan is available and adds featured listings and priority support; current plan details are shown in the app.
How do payouts and withdrawals work?
Artists can request a withdrawal once a service is confirmed and completed. Payments are made twice a week via bank transfer.
Is my information safe on Mewzo?
Yes. We comply with GDPR and POPIA standards and only collect the information we need.
How does verification work?
Every artist is approved with our advanced verification technology, ensuring that only legitimate musicians, brands, and DJs are on our platform.
Can I leave reviews?
Yes — honest, respectful reviews are encouraged after each booking. Defamatory or abusive content may be removed.
What happens if someone breaks the rules?
Accounts may be suspended or terminated for fraud, harassment or other policy violations.
